DJing the El Cajon Home Depot Holiday Party

Of all the San Diego corporate event DJs out there, the El Cajon Home Depot chose me to DJ and MC their holiday party at the Double Tree Inn on December 4, 2022. The following write-up is based on San Diego DJ Track Star Staci’s super detailed outline for this Double Tree Inn corporate event.

THE DOUBLE TREE INN COCKTAIL HOUR & DINNER

While southern California corporate DJ Track Star Staci offers clients pre-curated background playlists to choose from, the El Cajon Home Depot opted to add some holiday tunes for their event.

• Crowd Demographics  ➔  Diverse. Ages 20-70. 50/50 men, women. Latin & some Arabic.
• Take Requests ➔ Yes, at this San Diego corporate event DJ’s discretion
• Genres of Music ➔ Variety of upbeat dance music
• Swearing ➔ Clean versions
• Line/Group Dances ➔ Yes
• Theme/Attire – Old Hollywood theme, business casual

 

FORMALITIES AT THIS SAN DIEGO CORPORATE EVENT

To make the raffle faster and easier, corporate event DJ Track Star Staci suggested announcing the names of the winners instead of reading a long series of numbers. The timeline looked like (no dancing):

• 8:00 pm – dinner served
• 9:30 pm – dance music
• >>no set time, few different raffle announcement
• 10:30 pm – raffle ends
• 11:45 pm – last song
• Midnight – everyone needs to be out

The El Cajon Home Depot opted for a custom set-up from DJ Track Star Staci, which included the following gear:

• One iconic Shure-55 microphone on a gooseneck stand
• Four speakers
• Rane One DJ controller
• Allen & Heath sound mixer
• My unique dance floor lighting
