DJing at St. Andrew School in Pasadena
DJ Track Star Staci was thrilled to be the Pasadena DJ that St. Andrew’s Catholic School hired for their “Tacos & Tequila” party on June 9, 2023. The following write-up is based on Pasadena DJ Track Star Staci’s notes for this private school end-of-the-year parent appreciation celebration.
At This Spanish Music Party

While southern California corporate DJ Track Star Staci offers clients pre-curated playlists to be inspired by, this event was a little last minute (booked just 2 days in advance), so things were a bit different. St. Andrew’s School requested I play all Spanish music then sent me a list of over 20 salsa must-plays. I asked if the parent population at the school is largely Cuban or Puerto Rican because salsa comes from these regions. Typically in southern California, Spanish music crowds are 95% Mexican and will prefer Mexican music as the main vibe. The planning team at St. Andrew’s trusted me, and we ended up having a roof-raising night with twerking, the Roger Rabbit, and the Payaso de Rodeo (and, as predicted, just one Carlos Vives request LOL). For only 30 guests…this crowd brought some serious energy!
