DJing a Nudisco Afterparty at the Hollywood Roosevelt
Of all the Hollywood DJs out there, Alexia chose DJ Track Star Staci to spin a curated nudisco set at her wedding afterparty at the Hollywood Roosevelt’s iconic “Spare Room” bar on March 25, 2023. The following write-up is based on nudisco DJ Track Star Staci’s planning notes for this Hollywood Roosevelt afterparty. Here are some of the event basics:
- Attire ➔ Business casual
- How Many Guests ➔ 200 wedding guests total, but afterparty attendance is estimated at about 75
- Swearing in music ➔ dirty is fine
THE MUSIC RECIPE AT THE SPARE ROOM AFTERPARTY
While southern California corporate DJ Track Star Staci offers clients pre-curated playlists to choose from, Alexia opted to share a Spotify list with DJ Track Star Staci to give her an idea of the desired vibe…and let the DJ run with it from there. Alexia was on the fence about including some 80s hits as well, so DJ Track Star Staci rounded up some nudisco-sounding 80s remixes and disco/80s originals. THE HOLLYWOOD CORPORATE EVENT DJ SET-UP
Alexia opted for DJ Track Star Staci’s basic DJ booth set-up, which includes the following gear:
- One iconic Shure-55 microphone on a gooseneck stand
- Rane One DJ controller
- Counter-height table with black lace/knot linen
